Situated in the JNM College campus, the
Institute shares the hostel facilities
with the Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy
Colleges. The vast campus of the College
of Pharmacy provides a lifestyle that is
as invigorating as it is conducive to
academic pursuits. 4 Gents' Hostels
accommodate 300 students and 4 Ladies'
Hostels accommodate 500 students. An
extra floor was recently added to the
Ladies' Hostel. A separate Hostel for PG
Students, has also been constructed.
Currently, the Hostels accommodate 1,626
Students in 954 rooms. Apart from the
Hostels, 175 meticulously planned
quarters for the staff, exist on campus.
Visiting parents and dignitaries are
accommodated in 3 comfortable and
spacious guesthouses including the
'Silver Jubilee Guest House'.
An Auditorium with a capacity to seat
1,200 individuals and a playground
spanning 12 acres has been allocated for
a host of sports activities such as
Hockey, Cricket, Football etc. A newly
constructed Indoor Games Complex with a
Badminton Court, is an added attraction.
Transport facilities on campus and to
other areas are well resulated. A Bank,
Cooperative consumer store and other
facilities make the campus a complete
world where the rigours of academics are
softened by the serene environment.
The college is amply rewarded in having
all the requisites that a Professional
nursing degree college should have. In
brief it has a number of well ventilated
class-rooms with adequate furniture. A
demonstration room with plenty of
models, specimens, charts and teaching
aids. A Nutrition Laboratory which
caters to the practical needs of
dietetics is also one of these
requisite. A community Lab. meets
adequately the needs of community for
assembly, group-discussion, seminars,
and so on. A well furnished Library with
a seating capacity for nearly a hundred
students at a time with 2000
meticulously selected books of various
references, 15 foreign journals and 7
Indian Journals are its highlights. It
is managed by a full time trained
Librarian who maintains the Library
efficiently. Besides this there is a
Central Library which has more than
25000 books on medical and para-medical
subjects. More than 300 Journals are
regularly subscribed to. There are 10
Librarians catering to the needs of the
large number of students and teachers
for almost 16 hours a day. The college
has excellent A. V. Aids and all
necessary equipment and articles
including computerised manikin doll for
live demonstration of the various
nursing procedures.
